Project Workflow & Responsibilities

Overview

This document explains how team members and clients interact during a project lifecycle. Our system is deployed in the cloud (e.g., AWS), and testing, feedback, and updates follow a structured process to ensure clarity and efficiency.

We aim to maintain clear communication: I act as the bridge between the development team and clients, ensuring smooth coordination and feedback flow.

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Project Manager / Coordinator (You)

  • Acts as the main bridge between the development team and the client.

  • Coordinates deployment schedules, testing, and updates.

  • Collects feedback from testers and relays it to the developers.

  • Ensures that timelines are met and communication is clear.

2. Cloud Deployment / Infrastructure Team

  • Responsible for deploying the system on cloud platforms (e.g., AWS).

  • Ensures that server resources, security, and configurations are properly set up.

  • Monitors performance during initial deployment and testing.

  • Provides logs and access information to testers and developers.

3. Developers / Internal Team

  • Prepares and packages the system for deployment.

  • Implements requested features, bug fixes, and improvements.

  • Responds to feedback from testers and adjusts the system accordingly.

  • Works closely with the project manager to ensure updates are delivered on time.

4. Testers / QA Team

  • Access the deployed system and perform functional, usability, and performance testing.

  • Document any issues, bugs, or inconsistencies observed during testing.

  • Provide clear feedback reports to the project manager.

  • Verify fixes and updates after developers implement changes.

5. Client / End User (Optional)

  • Provides high-level feedback on system behavior and requirements.

  • Confirms whether the system meets expectations after internal testing.

  • Can request feature changes or improvements, which are communicated through the project manager.

Workflow Summary

  1. Deployment:

    • Cloud team deploys the system on AWS.

    • Access details are shared with testers and the project manager.

  2. Testing:

    • Testers access the system, perform tests, and document feedback.

    • Any critical issues are reported immediately to the project manager.

  3. Feedback & Updates:

    • Project manager collects feedback and sends it to developers.

    • Developers fix issues, improve features, and send updated builds.

  4. Verification & Approval:

    • Testers verify the fixes.

    • Once confirmed, the project manager communicates to the client.

  5. Iteration:

    • Steps 2–4 repeat until the system meets quality and client requirements.

This structure ensures clarity, accountability, and smooth communication. Each member knows exactly what they are responsible for, while the project manager serves as the central point of contact for coordination.
